My first month with The L3 Agency flew by. Larvetta and I worked together previously at the start of my college career in 2018 back when “The L3 Agency” was L3 Eventures. I had such a wonderful experience that I added her company to the list of places I wanted to work after graduation.
I was so excited when they reached out to me to make me a job offer as the Assistant Account Executive. Within the first month with the team, I began to learn so much and felt supported the whole way. I managed to develop a great rhythm and learned how to balance my many responsibilities.
One of my favorite client projects thus far has been creating a strategic outreach plan. The sky was the limit when it came to the creation of this. I was able to craft a plan for 3rd and 4th quarter that included live and virtual events to engage the brand with promotional products to leverage our client’s message and drive excitement to their customers.
I am also most excited to serve as the associate producer for our signature podcast, Black Businesses Matter Podcast. It has been fascinating listening to the stories of business owners, leaders, and innovators within our community. Also during this month, I was able to participate in our first outreach event on Sundays on State to promote the podcast. It allowed me to nurture relationships with various community partners along with my co-worker Kia.
While we work most of the time remotely, I never feel like I miss out because communication is impressive. Most recently, we have begun to head into the office once a week, and those are my favorite days. I love working together with the team and bouncing new ideas off while also getting life updates from my team. One thing, I love most about working with The L3 Agency is the creative freedom we have. The team is very open to suggestions and is supportive when you present new ideas. Another great thing about working here is that mistakes/errors are used as teaching moments. It is truly a healthy working environment which is a rare find. I’m excited to see what we will accomplish next.
