I recently celebrated my new marriage, and in doing so, I’ve been reflecting on the incredible intersection between this new chapter and my 25 years as a business owner.
For me, faith has always been the unshakable cornerstone of my company’s success. My business has been spirit-led from day one, and now, stepping into this marriage, I lead with those exact same intentions.
My journey here wasn’t a straight line. I carry the memory of my first marriage and the brokenness I experienced. It’s a strange thing to say, but my divorce saved me from myself, stripping away layers of ego and misconception and preparing me for a deeper understanding of commitment.
That crucible of personal experience taught me a profound lesson that applies equally to my company and my marriage: You must invest to innovate.
The Investment Equation
- In Marriage: When you invest in your own growth—your emotional health, your spiritual life, your personal development—you improve your ability to give and receive. This self-investment deepens intimacy and connection with your spouse.
- In Business: When you invest in skills like empathy and compassion, it drives a bond for innovation and leadership that builds a lasting legacy. It’s the human element that fuels sustainable success.
My new marriage is built on the same principles of faith, intention, and radical self-investment that have powered my business for a quarter of a century. It’s a journey of continuous improvement, and I wouldn’t have it any other way
